Las Vegas Weddings Have Everything, Including The Grand Canyon

One of the most memorable places to marry is Vegas, but Las Vegas weddings donâ??t always happen inside a grand resort or a wedding chapel. Many couples head over to the Grand Canyon to make their vows and there are a number of companies that provide wedding packages that include the Canyon as well as some of the amenities associated with a wedding. Most couples have a private ceremony in the Canyon and then host a grand reception back on the strip for all their family and friends.

Maverick Helicopter offers a package that provides limo service from your hotel to their terminal on the strip. A narrated helicopter flight takes you over Lake Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and Fortification Hill which is actually an extinct volcano. Once over the Canyon, youâ??ll descend 3,500 feet below the rim to a lovely spot for your ceremony. They provide video of the ceremony, cake, and champagne before flying back over the Bowl of Fire and downtown Las Vegas to return you via limo to your hotel.

Las Vegas Grand Canyon Tours also has a wedding package similar to Maverick, with pickup at your hotel and a helicopter ride to 4,000 feet below the Canyon rim. Ceremonies are held on the bank of the Colorado River and their package includes cake, champagne, a rose bouquet for the bride, a rose boutonniere for the groom, the ministerâ??s donation and the driverâ??s gratuity.

Another choice for an unforgettable day is Heli USA. They fly the 45 minutes to the Grand Canyon from Vegas via helicopter and descend 1,500 below the rim. Landing is a the Grand Canyon Ranch, where youâ??ll be taken by horse drawn wagon over the old Mormon Trail and its Joshua trees to the Ranch House for the ceremony. In one of the most unique types of Las Vegas weddings, youâ??ll sip champagne, cut your wedding cake and then have the option of add-ins like a horseback ride or a night in the Honeymoon Cabin. The package concludes with a flight back to Vegas and a ride back to your hotel.

Regardless of what company you pick, if youâ??re aiming to be one of the many Las Vegas weddings that take place each year youâ??ll need to make sure that your marriage license is already handled and any paperwork needed is done. Once youâ??ve taken care of that, enjoy your once in a lifetime event in the eons old Grand Canyon.

Las Vegas Tourism Tips: The 5 Most Romantic Vegas Hotels

Las Vegas is a great place for a romantic getaway. With its incredible resort hotels and casinos, world-class dining, shopping, attractions, and accommodations, Vegas has everything it takes to make your romantic vacation or honeymoon both exciting and memorable.

Of course, certain hotels are far more romantic than others. You probably wouldn’t want to end up at Circus Circus or Excalibur, for those hotels are very popular family destinations and not exactly conducive to quiet romantic escapes.

So what resorts are the most romantic in all of Las Vegas? Read on to find out my picks for the top 5 romantic Vegas hotels.

1. The Venetian Hotel

The Venetian was built with romance in mind. From its re-creation of a Venice canal, complete with romantic gondola rides, to its incredible restaurants, amazingly beautiful lobby, world-class shopping, and luxurious rooms, the Venetian is a wonderful place to get away from it all right in the middle of Vegas.

2. Paris Las Vegas

No city is more romantic than Paris, and the Paris Las Vegas Hotel wonderfully re-creates some of the most noteworthy elements of the City of Light, from its half scale replica of the Eiffel Tower to its uniquely Parisian architecture and cuisine. Paris Las Vegas is romantic inside and out. Don’t miss sunset from the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower – it’s a sight you’ll always remember.

3. Bellagio

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino remains one of the most elegant and beautiful in all of Las Vegas. From its vast man-made lake and water fountain show, timed to Italian opera and classic Sinatra ballads, to its magnificent interior, complete with botanical gardens, an art museum, and incredible shops, the Bellagio is a world unto itself. But it’s the wonderful pool area that is my favorite element of the Bellagio, with an elegant main pool and a half dozen smaller, more private pools, all designed and landscaped like the grounds of a Mediterranean villa.

4. Red Rock Hotel and Casino

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Strip for the breathtaking beauty of Red Rock Canyon on the outskirts of town, the Red Rock Hotel and Casino offers five-star luxury amidst a backdrop of natural splendor. It’s hard to believe you’re in Las Vegas when you’re at the Red Rock – it feels a world away. The natural canyon setting makes for a wonderful romantic getaway, yet you don’t sacrifice quality or service – the Red Rock is a world-class resort hotel. Of course, if you want to check out the excitement of the Strip, its a short car or taxi ride away.

5. Wynn Hotel Casino

Steve Wynn set out to redefine luxury in Vegas when he built his new casino, and boy did he succeed in doing so. The Wynn Hotel is simple yet elegant, with a sleek design, wonderfully decorated rooms, incredible landscaping (including man-made ponds and waterfalls), and elegant shops and restaurants. You will be truly pampered at the Wynn, and the level of quality and customer service make it one of the best places in all of Las Vegas for a romantic vacation or honeymoon.
