Las Vegas Wedding – Top 5 Reasons To Conduct It There

The first wedding that was recorded to have taken place in Vegas was back in the 1900s when gin was banned from California, and young couples in love were able to get drunk in Vegas and serve liquor at the ceremony. Their wedding certificate would be ready in a few hours, and they may step out of the chapel to enter a completely lit city to celebrate their wedding. The first known celebrity to have wedded in Vegas is said to be Clark Gable, following which many celebrities and commoners began choosing Las Vegas as the most popular wedding destination. Listed below are five top reasons to get hitched in the World’s Entertainment Capital.

1. Losing status “Single”

Arrive at Vegas a few days before the wedding and spend your last few days of singleton in Sin City! Experience the night life of the place with your friends and spend a night out at the strip.

Need some quality girl-bonding time? Vegas are perfect for that too! Spend an entire day at the spa and arrange for a body pampering, relaxation massage and in the process, indulge in some typical girl talk!

2. Fast and Simple Weddings

All set to ring the wedding bells? To get married in Las Vegas, all you require is a social security number, a valid ID, and 55$, oh and of course, Love! Nothing else, no in-laws, no wedding singer, and no wedding planner! Just you, your partner, and one person to get both of you married: a priest, the Commissioner, or even Elvis, the choice is yours! Just make sure you have the marriage license ready so that the ceremonies can take place smoothly.

3. Redefine your style

Party for two or 200? Las Vegas has the style statement for you. Most of the wedding chapels provide a wide range of packages, ranging from very simple ones to ones of grandeur. Flowers, rings, witnesses, and every other practical necessity is available. Stop worrying about your 200 wedding guests because they have an entire city to keep them entertained, so that you can start concentrating on the first night of marital bliss.

4. Take a Honeymoon Stroll

There are some marriages that break even before the honeymoon starts. A long plane journey can be an extremely trying test for newlywed couples. But if you’re getting married in Vegas, you need not worry about it. Once you step out of the church, or the Commissioner’s office, or the garden, you honeymoon begins there. Stroll with your loved one and enjoy the lighting and the water fountains that seem larger than life. You could also stay at a luxury hotel and make your wedding night a truly memorable one!

5. Settle down in Las Vegas

Almost 2,000,000 Americans claim that Vegas is a popular choice for newly weds who wish to settle. The city has excellent infrastructure to make up for the extremes in climate. Being the Entertainment Capital, it provides all basic necessities like food 24×7!

Getting tired of the bright lights? Check out the nature in the area: Valley of Fire, Lake Mead and Red Rock Canyon are some of the places that you will find quite breathtaking.

Want to start a family? Nevada has some of the best schools in the country, for instance the Green Valley High in Clark County is among the top 10 schools in America.

Start a new life in Vegas because once you step into Las Vegas, you will never want to go back to where you belong.

A Guide to Budget Las Vegas Dining

There are many reasons for going to Las Vegas. For many it is an opportunity to enjoy a fantastic array of excess. You can endure excess drink, excess food and excess gambling in any combination you choose. Actually, the phenomenal choice of dining options is the main reason that many visit Vegas and no-one leaves disappointed – when it comes to dining anyway.

Las Vegas has so much more to offer its visitors than gambling. Gone are the days when gambling was the only income for the casinos or that they were the only businesses in town. Vegas has been revamping itself recently and slowly working towards changing its former, sometimes seedy, image.

Renowned for its shining lights and all too-often empty promises, Las Vegas also provides entertainment of world-class proportions and exhilaration to both its residents and visitors. With its variety, it is very difficult not too like it – but don’t go there for a quite getaway.

We all need to eat and, without a doubt, Las Vegas has some of the best dining you’ll find anywhere. As you would expect, a lot of the fantastic dining opportunities are associated with the casinos. Once a casino has you in its clutches it wants to keep you so there is no way they are going to let you leave the building to eat – you may not come back. They would not be the success they are if there was not a reason to keep the tables full.

People don’t tend to eat where the food is bad and for a restaurant a bad review will travel around the world three times before ten good reviews will make it out of the city. For a restaurant, that means they really must earn their reputations to be able to bring business in and hence enable them to stay in business. This goes hand-in-hand with the reputation of the casino as a bad restaurant review can reflect on the casino that houses it.

Even though the casinos can offset pricing to keep gamblers in a casino, dining out can still be expensive so it is worth looking for bargains so that is what I wanted to concentrate on here. There is a great selection of amazing places to eat in Vegas that will not send you rushing to the ATM for extra cash. All you need to do is spend a little time looking around for the latest deals. Competition is so strong in Vegas that great deals are never far away. You’ll also save a few bucks by stepping back from the strip a block or two or even going downtown to the older northern end of the strip .

You should also be on the lookout for the various coupons that are handed out or left lying around in shops and hotels.

You will find that they offer deals such as two-for-one or or dollars-off entree prices. The coupon values may not seem like much on their own but if you can save $2 each on dinner for two and you are in Vegas for a week or even two, that soon adds up to saving between $28 and $56. You could then either save that money or use it to spend a little more time on the slot machines or even visit one of the many shows in town.

Don’t be concerned that by looking for cheap meal options you will be getting poor quality food. OK, it might not be as elegant an experience as some options available but you may well find that in searching out for meal-deals you can discover better flavor than some of the more expensive dining experiences. Also, it’s nice to escape buffet food which is the normal cheaper dining option. There are only so-many buffets you can take before they all taste the same.

The key is to think ahead and look around and listen. People can tell you a lot about what’s been a good or bad dining experience for them.

Seven Top Tips For Your Las Vegas Wedding

Research

Unless you’re a spontaneous, spur of the moment person, research is essential in order to have a great Las Vegas wedding, including setting the wedding date.

Yes, you could hop on a plane at the last minute, fly to Vegas and turn up at the chapel of your choice only to find out that:

A. You need a marriage licence from the Marriage Bureau, Las Vegas, Nevada which is located at 200 S. 3rd Street, 1st floor Las Vegas, NV 89155-1603 (cost at time of writing was $55) before you can get married in Las Vegas.

B. The chapel is booked solid, even when you return with a marriage license. Then you’re roaming Las Vegas wedding chapels, trying to find one that can marry you.

2. How To Get There

You also need to research how you’ll get to Las Vegas. Plane, train, car or bus? If you decide to fly, you’ll need to check airfares with the different airlines to find the best deal.

3. Venue

When you were doing your research, you probably came up with an idea of what sort of wedding you wanted. For example, you can be married by an Elvis impersonator, get married in medieval costume at Excalibur or opt for a traditional ceremony in an elegant wedding chapel.

Once you’ve decided on your wedding theme and researched wedding chapels, it’s a good idea to book the chapel of your choice as soon as possible, in order to avoid disappointment.

4. Reception.

To reception or not to reception? Instead of having a traditional reception you could have a memorable wedding meal at a top restaurant in Las Vegas, depending on how many will be in your wedding party. Or if it’s just the two of you, you could dine a deux with room service in your honeymoon suite.

5. Your Wedding Night and Honeymoon

Now that you know where and when you’re getting married, it’s time to book the wedding night and or honeymoon. It’s easy to research the casino hotels online by visiting their websites or reading messages on Las Vegas forums to find a hotel that appeals to you. Once you find your hotel, it’s a good idea to make your reservations as soon as possible.

6. Wedding Attire

It’s time to decide on your outfit for your Las Vegas wedding. You’ve already decided what sort of ceremony you’ve having, which will help to narrow your choice of outfit. If you don’t want to pack your wedding gown into a suitcase you could always rent or buy a wedding gown in Las Vegas. Just make sure you do your research first before you arrive in Las Vegas.

7. Invitations

Before sending out your invitations you should have completed the above six steps: deciding on a wedding date and type of wedding, mode of transport to Las Vegas, booking a wedding chapel, deciding on what sort of reception you’ll be having if any, reservations for your wedding night/honeymoon and planning your wedding attire.

Now it’s time to invite your family/friends to your Las Vegas wedding. Unless you just want it to be the two of you – how romantic!
