Not sure what the cab fairs are. Last time I was in Vegas we took the shuttle. It was $14 round trip. The day you leave you just call and they pick you up. The last time we were there we got from the airport to Imperial Palace in no time. It didn’t take that long. Also the day we were there people were waiting in line 2 hours for cabs.
No it’s not the tunnel. Tell the cab driver not to take the tunnel. Caesars Palace is 4.6 miles from the airport and a cab fare should cost appox. $17

Don’t take the tunnel, that is the long way around. And it’s cheaper and easier to catch one of the shuttles.
The tunnel is fast but not cheaper. The cab driver has to ask you which one hyou want
Tell your cabbie NOT to take the tunnel and to take either Paradise or Koval instead. Those are the back roads just behind the strip. You could take the strip but you’d wait a lot trying to make that left turn to get to Caeasars. From what I remember, I think you could even take the freeway too because one of the freeway entrances is actually right behind Caesars and the Bellagio so there has to be an exit right?
Forget taking a cab they are rip offs. Just go to one of the limo companys doors like ODS, Excutive, Presidental, Ambasador ect. They all have shuttles that will take you to your hotel much cheaper and it does not cost based on distance but the number of people. Also most times you can even get a town car for less then it would cost for a cab and you can take that up and down the strip a few times before time runs out
Do not take the taxi if you do not want to be ripped off. There are shuttles that take you right to your hotle for $6 each. You will find them at kiosks right outside the arrivals area at the airport.

shuttles are like $7 . the cab can get you there faster on the tunnel route and will cost under $20. It is much faster than local streets, they can come to a stop. also lots of work on Tropicana and it is a mess right now.
but the shuttle is still the most reasonable way to go.
have fun on the visit.
take the shuttle… they wont venture off route because chances are there are alot of people going to different places in the same van as you. our shuttle driver was super nice and even gave us a coupon book!!
