Can anyone recomment any nice hotels on the Las Vegas Strip that are near good shopping, food, entertainment?
I am looking to plan a long get away. thanks!

any hotels are good as long as they are on the strip. We stayed at Imperial Palace and we really liked it. It was an older hotel but the price was good and it was in the middle of the strip which we thought was great. With being in the middle of the strip we could pretty much walk any wear we wanted, to get food, to see shows and shopping. Were you could stay at New York New York but it is at the end of the strip and you will have to take cabs to get to some of the other hotels as its so far away, but there is still lots of stuff on that end so it just depends really on your price range because any hotel that is on the strip is a good chose
The Mirage is our favourite hotel its classy and not trashy the rooms are great the food is good, is the home of the Cirque Show LOVE and the pool is awesome. As far as shopping goes you are next tyo Caesers Forum to the South and accross (via TI) from teh Fashion show Mall to the North coudl not be better oh 10 mins in a cab from the Premium outlet Mall. We spent the first part of our honeymoon in Mirage and have booked to go back this Xmas rooms from $72 and suites from $160 its amazing value this hotel would be $400 a night in New York.

Me? I would do the Palazzo, Venetiain or Treasure Island.
I would recommend either the T.I. which is directly across the street from the Fashion Show Mall (which has fantastic places to eat) and a tram ride away from Ceasars which has the Forum Shoppes, or perhaps the Venetian or Palazzo Hotels, which also have their own shops. Anyway you go, as long as you are on the strip, you will be near anything you need.
I highly suggest trying out the new “Town Square” as well. Its at the south end of the strip, somewhat near the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Those shops range from Old Navy to Juicy Couture, and have great restaurants too!

When I went to Vegas 3 years ago, we stayed at the Aladdin (now Planet Hollywood). It was very nice there. We had a fountain view room and could sit in our window every night to watch the Bellagio fountains. I liked that the location was right in the middle of the strip and next door to a monorail stop. Plus, the Desert Passage mall is connected to it for shopping. I would highly recommend staying there. We loved it! I’m already counting down the days til we go back!
