Winterspring’s travel blog entry: “We pack up one more time and head off in our big red van to Yosemite. We drive for a bit on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, and I must say that it’s not as pretty as the California side, but the boys are excited to see the small casinos that we passed. I did admire the beautiful snow capped mountains as we left the region. It’s about a 5 hour drive from Lake Tahoe to Yosemite, and it’s a very interesting ride because of the different types of terrain you go through on the trip. For the most part, you are way in the middle of nowhere. We did go through Carson City, Nevada, but there’s really not that much there. Once again the boys did get a kick out seeing the casinos we passed,but they didn’t like the Las Vegas casinos the boys have seen on TV. I was surprised how “wild west” looking this part of California was. When you did see a town, it would be tiny, and most of the land was ranch land and there were very few houses. It provided us one more experience that showed us how varied and wonderful California is. After about three and half hours of driving, the terrain changed again and we started to climb. Best all around Vegas Hotel. See Criteria Below…?

I’m going to be turning 21 and am going to Las Vegas for four nights in August. I need a hotel that’s going to be in the middle of the action (strip) will have good nightlife, a good casino, great pool, and most importantly an amazing room (A suite, something modern and flashy preferably with jacuzzi tub, steam shower, or both, and flat screen TVs). I’ve budgeted it at under $1500 for 5 Days (for the hotel only).

What is the hotel I should pick? And if so what room should I get?

I’ve currently been pondering the Bellagio Suite at the Bellagio but in retrospect I feel like it might be too sophisticated of an atmosphere for a younger crowd (me and my girlfriend both 21) and that I would be paying for things I wouldn’t probably use (their fine art collection, etc)

Anyways, best answer is the one that answers all of my ridiculous criteria haha.

I REALLY like the palms but I had to rule it out because I just don’t want to be that far removed from the strip. I want to be able to just stumble back to my hotel drunk basically (well at least one night that is)
