Las Vegas Dining Deals: Top 10 Steakhouse Deals & Atmospheres

Best steak in Vegas? Maybe 5-6 places can compete. But for best Las Vegas dining deals, you can bet that those five or six top steakhouses aren’t competing to provide value for your money. So even though we’re salivating over the prospect of eating at Carnevino at the Palazzo, or at STRIPSTEAK in Mandalay Bay, we’re going to have to wait to win big at the craps tables to do it.

In the meantime, we’re eating at some of the places listed below because they really do broil up a decent piece of beef…and because sometimes the best restaurants in Las Vegas are the restaurants with the most atmosphere, or the ones that provide the greatest dining deals in Las Vegas.

Here’s a Top 10 list of best-steaks-for-your-bucks joints in Sin City:

10. The Range Steakhouse, Harrah’s Las Vegas: 3475 Las Vegas Boulevard South

Have your steak while people watching on The Strip. Order the Prime Rb or Delmonico at this restaurant with the old school vibe.

9. Embers Steakhouse, Imperial Palace: 3535 Las Vegas Boulevard South

Known for its intimate, quiet atmosphere, this steak and seafood restaurant may provide the perfect respite from the hectic pace on The Strip.

8. TJ’s Steakhouse, Las Vegas Hilton: 3000 Paradise Road

Because you don’t need a steak, you need a side of beef. And TJ’s may be just the place to find it. Serving up some of the largest steaks in Vegas, this steakhouse also has some of the most reasonable prices for your cut size. Start with some crab cakes before moving on to the 22 oz Bone-in Rib Eye.

7. Morton’s Steakhouse at 400 East Flamingo Road

Normally, we’re not going to recommend the larger chains because you can eat at those places practically anywhere in the country. And the Vegas Morton’s looks like every other Morton’s, and serves the same great quality of food.

But we are going to include this place because it’s one of the best restaurants in Las Vegas and around the country for that matter…plus it scores high on the Las Vegas dining deals list. You can find great deals if you hit one of those discount Vegas dining booths on The Strip first. So. Want to get a great Morton’s steak at a great price? Look for a discount ticket booth—the ones that sell discounted show tickets AND dining deals in Las Vegas, first.

6. Bally’s Steakhouse, Bally’s Casino: 3645 Las Vegas Boulevard South

One of the oldest steakhouses on The Strip, it’s also one of the ones that oozes pseudo-swank without costing you an arm and a leg. You’ll be greeted by a tuxedo-clad host, but you’ll dine with guests wearing cargo shorts. Then you’ll be stuffed to the gills with food. Don’t order too many sides, the portions are huge.

5. Steakhouse at Bill’s, Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon: 3595 Las Vegas Boulevard South

The vintage Vegas feel practically bursts from the stained glass dome ceiling and crushed red velvet booths, not to mention the old school desserts like Cherries Jubilee or Bananas Foster, both of which are served flambé. You’ll be pretty happy with the steak here too, so long as you’re not looking for a snobby wine steward pairing wines and A5 Kobe beef. Steakhouse at Bill’s won a AAA Three Diamond Award. That and setting our cherries on fire definitely does it for us! Try the New York Strip Loin with green peppercorns and demi glace.

4. Vic & Anthony’s, Golden Nugget: 129 E. Fremont Street

This restaurant earned a Michelin Guide recommendation, as well as Open Table’s Best Food and Best Service awards. You want old school? Get the Iceberg Wedge Salad with crumbled Roquefort, before you cut into your Prime Strip.

3. Ellis Island Casino & Brewery at 4178 Koval Lane (behind Bally’s)

Ok, the place is a total dive with not-so-great service, but the restaurant is open 24 hours (click cheap food in Vegas for other restaurants available 24/7), they have a karaoke machine, and some excellent beef and brew deals for under 10 bucks–one of the best dining deals in Las Vegas that we know of. When you get tired of The Strip snobbery, try Ellis Island Casino & Brewery.

2. The Steak House at Circus Circus: 2880 Las Vegas Boulevard South

The steaks have been aged 21 days—not the oldest aging on The Strip and not the oldest in vintage décor either, but this place is still a great choice—the restaurant was voted Best Steak House in Las Vegas for two decades now. Order the Porterhouse.

1. Golden Steer Steak House: 308 W. Sahara Ave.

They claim to have the best steaks on Earth since 1958. That might be debatable, though they are pretty darn good. What we are pretty sure of though, is that they’ve been serving the same dishes ON the same dishes since 1958. This place is old Vegas personified with lots of Rat Pack history. It’s not in a great neighborhood, but they’re gonna treat you like the living, breathing Dean Martin and you’re going to get one of the best Las Vegas dining deals right here.

A Guide to Budget Las Vegas Dining

There are many reasons for going to Las Vegas. For many it is an opportunity to enjoy a fantastic array of excess. You can endure excess drink, excess food and excess gambling in any combination you choose. Actually, the phenomenal choice of dining options is the main reason that many visit Vegas and no-one leaves disappointed – when it comes to dining anyway.

Las Vegas has so much more to offer its visitors than gambling. Gone are the days when gambling was the only income for the casinos or that they were the only businesses in town. Vegas has been revamping itself recently and slowly working towards changing its former, sometimes seedy, image.

Renowned for its shining lights and all too-often empty promises, Las Vegas also provides entertainment of world-class proportions and exhilaration to both its residents and visitors. With its variety, it is very difficult not too like it – but don’t go there for a quite getaway.

We all need to eat and, without a doubt, Las Vegas has some of the best dining you’ll find anywhere. As you would expect, a lot of the fantastic dining opportunities are associated with the casinos. Once a casino has you in its clutches it wants to keep you so there is no way they are going to let you leave the building to eat – you may not come back. They would not be the success they are if there was not a reason to keep the tables full.

People don’t tend to eat where the food is bad and for a restaurant a bad review will travel around the world three times before ten good reviews will make it out of the city. For a restaurant, that means they really must earn their reputations to be able to bring business in and hence enable them to stay in business. This goes hand-in-hand with the reputation of the casino as a bad restaurant review can reflect on the casino that houses it.

Even though the casinos can offset pricing to keep gamblers in a casino, dining out can still be expensive so it is worth looking for bargains so that is what I wanted to concentrate on here. There is a great selection of amazing places to eat in Vegas that will not send you rushing to the ATM for extra cash. All you need to do is spend a little time looking around for the latest deals. Competition is so strong in Vegas that great deals are never far away. You’ll also save a few bucks by stepping back from the strip a block or two or even going downtown to the older northern end of the strip .

You should also be on the lookout for the various coupons that are handed out or left lying around in shops and hotels.

You will find that they offer deals such as two-for-one or or dollars-off entree prices. The coupon values may not seem like much on their own but if you can save $2 each on dinner for two and you are in Vegas for a week or even two, that soon adds up to saving between $28 and $56. You could then either save that money or use it to spend a little more time on the slot machines or even visit one of the many shows in town.

Don’t be concerned that by looking for cheap meal options you will be getting poor quality food. OK, it might not be as elegant an experience as some options available but you may well find that in searching out for meal-deals you can discover better flavor than some of the more expensive dining experiences. Also, it’s nice to escape buffet food which is the normal cheaper dining option. There are only so-many buffets you can take before they all taste the same.

The key is to think ahead and look around and listen. People can tell you a lot about what’s been a good or bad dining experience for them.
