How old to gamble in Las Vegas airports?

I have heard that you must be 21 to gamble in Las Vegas. Well im 18 and im going to have a layover there and I also heard the airports just have slots. I have never gambled before so I figured it would be fun and a way to waste some time in the airport. Now does anyone know if I can gamble in the slots in the airport casino? Or must you be 21?
