Look Inside the Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip
Excerpts from the Media tour of the new Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip
If you had to rank the “best big cities” in America, what would your list look like?
I’m doing this research b/c I’m thinking of moving and I want to live in an area that offers big city living. I think the ideal “big city” not only has a large, dense population with a sprawling metro area, but also great nightlife/culture and restaurants, a bustling job market, big time sports, a “global city” reputation w/ lots of diversity, good public transportation and is also a tourist destination. With these parameters in mind, I created a five-tiered list of my own that classifies U.S. cities in terms of their urban appeal. Any feedback or arguments? Which cities should have made my list but didn’t?
Tier 1
-New York
-Los Angeles
-Chicago
Tier 2
-Boston
-San Francisco
-Washington, DC
-Miami
-Dallas
Tier 3

Things To Look For In Las Vegas Vintage Clothing
As it deserves, vintage clothing is back at the center stage of fashion and design. Everyone wants a piece of the action. Everywhere you look, it is apparent that Las Vegas vintage clothing is yearned for and loved by fashionable women. But while it is easy to categorize vintage clothing into a single category, each piece actually has its own unique characteristic. This is also the reason why women who want to stand out from the crowd usually choose Vegas vintage clothes to make a statement.
What exactly is considered “vintage”?
Many people have misconceptions about this because there are a lot of errors in the information they receive. One thing to remember is that just because it’s old, doesn’t mean it can be defined as a Las Vegas vintage piece. Also, there are several factors you need to take into consideration including its age, style, material and design.
Age – Las Vegas vintage clothing is typically classified by the decade it was designed in. Clothing had a deeper meaning then as opposed to now. It was a cultural expression and clothes represented the fashion sense and lifestyle of the people during that decade. Victorian-era garments through the clothing of the 1960s can generally be referred to as vintage. However, some fashion experts argue that clothing produced after the 1960s should be named retro instead.
Design – vintage items have that special something that makes people want to have them. They possess an aesthetic quality that is appealing, classic, and timeless and nostalgic all at the same time. The uniqueness of each piece makes the individual who wears it stand out from the rest. In short, Las Vegas vintage pieces give people today a connection to the past while making them look sophisticated and classy at the same time in the twentieth century.
Quality – the quality of Las Vegas vintage clothing is unparalleled for a few simple reasons. Machines were not as common in the past as they are now. As a result, the more elaborate styles were naturally given more attention to detail, almost always hand-sewn and personal touches were given to each piece. The details found in these clothes are definitely unrivaled by the mass-produced garments of today and are what made them survive and withstand the ravages of time.
It comes as no surprise that fashion-forward individuals today are looking backwards for inspiration and guidance. Las Vegas vintage pieces are unbeatable when you’re talking about design aesthetics, quality and the cultural meaning of clothes. Being famous for its nightlife, glamour, top entertainers, and infamous jet setters, Las Vegas had as much universal vintage clothing, coming and going, as New York or Chicago. Everyone, both men and women, wanted to make a fashion statement in Las Vegas.
